- Click on the Admission Letter at the bottom of the page for your copy of your admission Letter.
- Use the Printer icon to print or Download icon to download to you computer.
- Please get your primary school's Headteacher to endorse this letter in the space provided after printing.

Form One selection criterion.
Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i is today expected to announce the students selected to join Form One in the 103 national secondary schools across the country.
Dr Matiang’i will also launch the selection for the students who will join county schools. A total of 942,021 candidates who sat for KCPE exam this year are battling out for more than 780,000 secondary school slots
About 26.000 candidates who sat this year's KCPE Exams will today know the national schools they have been selected to join. Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i will preside over the selection ceremony that will see other categories of schools start the selection process.
The Top 5 candidates both male & female in each sub-county will be placed in any of the national school of their choice. The Top 3 candidates across all sub-counties will be selected first and placed in schools of their choice.
However, 226,000 candidates who scored below 200 marks may not join secondary schools next year.
Selected students will be expected to report to school on January 9, 2017
Form One Selection 2020/2021 Updates
Form one selection 2016/2017 – 65,000 pupils to join extra-county schools.
24,795 Standard Eight candidates have been selected to join 103 national schools. This is a 1,710 increase compared to 2015, where 23,085 pupils secured slots in the top schools.Another 65,331 are set to join extra-county schools in selection results announced by Education CS Fred Matiang’i on Tuesday. The selection was based on merit, quotas, equity, affirmative action and candidate’s choices. This year the transition rate has increased from 82 per cent to 84 per cent as 300,000 more students will be joining form one.
