PUBLIC NOTICE
DENOUNCEMENT OF THE RUMOURS FABRICATED IN THE SOCIAL MEDIA ON PUBLICATION OF THE LIST OF STUDENTS ADMITTED INTO VARIOUS HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS FOR THE 2016/2017 ACADEMIC YEAR
HOW DO TOP STUDENTS STUDY?
This is to inform the general public that, it has come to the attention of the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) that some unscrupulous person(s) through social media, have maliciously fabricated incorrect and unfounded information to the public that, TCU will soon publish the list of students admitted into various higher education institutions for the 2016/2017 academic year. The same person(s) also claim that they can quickly assist those who need access to the list of admitted students for each respective institution at a fee of Tshs. 1,000/= (Tanzania Shillings One Thousand) paid through mobile money.
TCU hereby informs the public that this information is unfounded. Therefore it should be ignored.
TCU condemns the person(s) responsible for this unlawful act of publishing and disseminating wrong and false message that might have created confusion to the public. This act cannot be condoned for whatever reasons, and in this case, appropriate legal action will be taken against whoever is responsible for this fabrication of information.
The general public, university institutions and all stakeholders are reminded that all official communications and announcement by TCU are done through either written notices issued by the Executive Secretary or the Chairman as the case may be, or posted on TCU website www.tcu.go.tz . Accordingly, the public notices can be issued by TCU in the print media wherever and whenever necessary.

TAHADHARI DHIDI YA TAARIFA ZA UONGO KUHUSU KUTANGAZWA KWA ORODHA YA WANAFUNZI WALIODAHILIWA KUJIUNGA NA VYUO VYA ELIMU YA JUU KWA MWAKA WA MASOMO 2016/2017
Tume ya Vyuo Vikuu Tanzania (TCU) inapenda kuuarifu umma kwamba, kuna taarifa za uongo ambazo zimesambazwa na mtu/watu wasio waadilifu kuwa hivi punde majina ya wanafunzi waliodahiliwa kujiunga katika vyuo mbalimbali vya elimu ya juu hapa nchini kwa mwaka wa masomo 2016/2017 yatatanganzwa. Aidha, taarifa hiyo inawataka watu wanaohitaji msaada wa haraka zaidi kujua chuo alichochaguliwa walipe Tshs. 1,000/= (Shilingi Elfu Moja) kwa njia ya simu.
TCU inapenda kukanusha kuwa taarifa hizo ni za uongo na hazina ukweli wowote, hivyo zipuuzwe. Huu ni utapeli, hivyo tunawatadharisha wale wote walioomba kujiunga na vyuo vya elimu ya juu hapa nchini kuwa makini na kuhakikisha kuwa wanawasiliana na TCU ili kupata taarifa sahihi.
TCU inalaani kitendo hicho cha kuchapisha na kutangaza taarifa za uongo na hivyo kusababisha mkanganyiko katika jamii. Kitendo hiki ni uvunjifu wa sheria za nchi, na kamwe hakiwezi kuvumiliwa kwa misingi yoyote ile. Kwa sababu hiyo, hatua kali za kisheria zitachukuliwa kwa yeyote aliyehusika na uchapishaji na usambazaji wa taarifa hizi za uongo.
Tunapenda kuukumbusha umma, vyuo vikuu na wadau wote wa elimu ya juu hapa nchini kwamba taarifa rasmi za TCU hutolewa na Katibu Mtendaji au Mwenyekiti wa Tume na huwekwa ama kwenye tovuti ya TCU ambayo ni www.tcu.go.tz au kwenye magazeti.
