ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (Tengeru)
TICD ADMISSION PROGRAMES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2019/2020
- Applicants
wishing to be enrolled for lower course programmes offered by the TICD
i.e certificates and Diploma (NTA Level 4, 5 & 6), Bachelor
programmes and Masters programmes should meet the following general
minimum entrance requirements as stipulated here-under: -
1.0 CERTIFICATE- NTA LEVEL 4
- Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects,
2.0 DIPLOMA- NTA LEVEL 5
- Holder
of certificate of secondary education examination (CSEE) with at least
four passes "D" in non-religious subjects and Holder of NTA level 4
Certificate in Community Development, Gender, Project Planning and
Management, Record Management, Human Resource Management, Public
Administration, Law, Regional Planning, Sociology, Social work or
Advanced Certificate of Secondary Examination with One Principal Pass
and one Subsidiary Pass
3.0 DIPLOMA-NTA LEVEL 6
- Holder
of certificate of secondary education examination (CSEE) with at least
four passes "D" in non-religious subjects and Holder of NTA level 5
Certificate in Community Development, Gender, Project Planning and
Management, Record Management, Human Resource Management, Public
Administration, Law, Regional Planning, Sociology, Social work.
4.0 ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT FOR BACHELORS
- Applicants
wishing to be enrolled for Bachelor degree programmes offered by the
TICD i.e. Bachelor degree in Community Development, Participatory
Project Planning and Management or Gender and Community Development
should meet the following general minimum entrance requirements as
stipulated here-under:
4.1 BACHELOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (BCD CODE-CD001)
- Two
principal passes in Science or Arts subjects with a minimum of four
(4.0) points for form six leaver completed before 2014 and after 2015
where E is considered as a principal pass.
- Two principal passes
in Science or Arts subjects with a minimum of four (4.0) points for
form six leaver completed in 2014 and 2015 where principal pass starts
at grade C. In this case an applicant(s) should possess 2 Cs
- Holders
of Diploma in Community Development, Social Work, Development
Economics, Gender and Development, Project Planning, Record Management,
Public Administration from Institutions recognized by NACTE and TCU and
at least 4 passes at O’ level with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0
4.2 BACHELOR OF GENDER AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (BCD CODECD002)
- Two
principal passes in Science or Arts subjects with a minimum of four
(4.0) points for form six leaver completed before 2014 and after 2015
where E is considered as a principal pass.
- Two principal passes
in Science or Arts subjects with a minimum of four (4.0) points for
form six leaver completed in 2014 and 2015 where principal pass starts
at grade C. In this case an applicant(s) should possess 2 Cs
- Holders
of Diploma in Community Development, Social Work, Development
Economics, Gender and Development, Project Planning, Record Management,
Public Administration from Institutions recognized by NACTE and TCU and
at least 4 passes at O’ level with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0
4.3 BACHELOR OF PARTICIPATORY PROJECT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT (BCD CODE- CD003)
- Two
principal passes in Science or Arts subjects with a minimum of four
(4.0) points for form six leaver completed before 2014 and after 2015
where E is considered as a principal pass.
- Two principal
passes in Science or Arts subjects with a minimum of four (4.0) points
for form six leaver completed in 2014 and 2015 where principal pass
starts at grade C. In this case an applicant(s) should possess 2 Cs
- Holders
of Diploma in Community Development, Social Work, Development
Economics, Gender and Development, Project Planning, Record Management,
Public Administration from Institutions recognized by NACTE and TCU and
at least 4 passes at O’ level with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0
5.0 ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT FOR MASTERS DEGREE
The
candidate intending to join the master’s degree programme in community
development at Tengeru Institute of Community Development should have
at least one of the following minimum qualifications requirements
- At
least bachelors degree lower second for classified award or an average
of B grade or credit for unclassified awards on relevant or
related fields
- At least a bachelors’ degree of pass grade with a post graduate diploma on relevant or related field
- Holder
of advanced diploma in community development, participatory project
planning and management and gender and community development
