Programs Offered at Hombolo

As a centre for practical oriented demand-driven training, research, and consultancy in Local Government Authorities (LGAs), the Local Government Training Institute (LGTI) offers short courses and long courses to reflect its primary role as the Lead training Institute (LTI) in LGAs.

According to the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) courses are studied in three different levels. Based on the qualification of the applicant, one can join LGTI in any of the following levels:

Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4)- (One Year)

Technician Certificate (NTA Level 5)- (One Year)

Diploma (NTA Level 6)- (One Year)

Local Government Accounting and Finance
Community Development
Human Resource Management
Records, Archives and Information Management
Procurement and Supplies Management

Applicants who wish to join the Local Government Training Institute can do so by obtaining application forms from:

Local Government Training Institute –Main Campus, Hombolo, Dodoma
LGTI-Dodoma Teaching Centre ( Area C)
PO – RALG head office Dodoma (Library-Mkapa House).

All applications must be accompanied with non-refundable application fee of Tshs. 10,000/= to be deposited in LGTI- Application Fee Control No. 994490011115 NMB Bank.
