Former Meru Governor and Party of National Unity (PNU) chair Peter Munya claims that he has moved with PNU to NASA amid fight over the leadership of the party.

He has said that his party is going to support Raila Odinga in forthcoming presidential elections ordered by the Supreme Court on 1 September 2017.

Peter Munya has also said that he will file a petition to challenge the win of Meru's governor, Kiraitu Murungi.

Opposition elected leaders in Narok and Kajiado will forgo their first salaries amounting to over Sh100 million to finance the campaign of their presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, in the two counties.


“We are ready to campaign for Raila by all means possible and we are sure that the Maasai will unanimously deliver Narok to NASA as was the case in 2013,” Said Ole Kina Narok ODM Senator.

The decision to head back to the ballot was announced on Friday, September 1, after the Supreme Court judges unanimously ruled that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission had carried out an election marred with illegalities and irregularities.
